Water is Life Kenya is a nonprofit that exists to bring clean water and opportunity to rural communities in Southern Kenya. Soon after starting this work, we realized that by saving women up to 8 hours a day of walking to get water, they had more time to do their traditional beadwork and handicrafts. Their passion was inspiring, so we decided to share their work with the world.

Our paper-beaded jewelry line is made by local artisans in our Kenyan workshop. They take paper destined for the trash and upcycle it into beautiful, durable, hand-rolled beads. Likewise, our glass-beaded jewelry is made by ladies in the local Maasai tribe, the many of whom are beneficiaries of our water projects. Their traditional jewelry is stunning.

Not only do we believe in giving back–we’re committed to it. All profits generated from our Beaded Handicrafts & Jewelry goes into our clean water fund.
